Branch Events

Join us for the 2013 Summer Reading Program! This year the theme is “Dig into Reading!” We will kick off our program on May 30th at 11:00am at the Waynesville Library with a performance from Mountain Circus Arts, featuring Dr. Diggs, an eccentric Paleontologist/Archeologist. Dr. Diggs will do a repeat performance at the Canton Library that afternoon at 2:00pm. We have a number of great performances awaiting you this summer. Sign up on May 30th or any day thereafter and pledge to read every day for at least 20 minutes. The library will have weekly prizes and incentives to keep you “digging” into books all summer long. Check back often for an updated list of performers and activities that we have scheduled. Be sure to say a special “Thank you” to the Friends of the Library who have generously provided all entertainment, refreshments and incentives.

Summer reading events can also be found in yellow boxes on our Library Events calendar. The calendar can be accessed via the Events tab at the top of this page.
